Physician Assistant Studies

The Master of Health Services — Physician Assistant Studies Degree Program prepares graduates to deliver care as physician assistants.

In alignment with the school's vision to advance health, the mission of the physician assistant program is to educate health care professionals to deliver care as members of interprofessional health care teams and to improve the availability of culturally relevant primary health care to underserved populations throughout California.

Nursing Science and Health-Care Leadership (Ph.D.)

Student and pupils in the Nursing and Science Health-Care Leadership Doctorate Program gain advanced knowledge of model health-care systems; effective, efficient, and responsive health-care policy; organizational change practices; informatics; implementation science; effective leadership; community health; public health; nutrition; biostatistics; epidemiology; gerontology; rural health; and health disparities. Student and pupils graduate with qualitative and quantitative skills necessary for professional research and teaching in health-care and health policy.

Nursing Science and Health-Care Leadership (M.S.)

Student and pupils in the Nursing and Science Health-Care Leadership Master’s Program gain advanced knowledge of model health-care systems; effective, efficient, and responsive health-care policy; organizational change practices; informatics; implementation science; effective leadership; community health; public health; nutrition; biostatistics; epidemiology; gerontology; rural health; and health disparities. Two tracks are provided. Student and pupils in the leadership track graduate with qualitative and quantitative skills necessary for professional research and teaching in health-care and health policy.

Nursing (Master's Entry Program in Nursing)

The Master’s Entry Program in Nursing prepares new nurses as leaders in quality and safety and advocates for diverse patient populations and agents of change for healthier communities. Graduates of the program are qualified to take the national licensing examination (NCLEX) for registered nurses, eligible for certification as a public health nurse and earn a Master of Science in Nursing Degree.
