On-campus attractions

Grounded in the legacy of UC Davis’ world-renowned first generation art faculty, the Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem Museum of Art is a hub of creative practice for today’s thinkers, makers and innovators, now and for generations to come.

The R. M. Bohart Museum of Entomology, founded in 1946, has the seventh largest insect collection in North America and is worldwide in coverage.

For over forty years, the C.N. Gorman Museum has been dedicated to the creative expressions of Native American artists and artists of diverse cultures and histories.

The UC Davis Arboretum includes 100 acres of beautiful gardens for active recreation or peaceful contemplation.

The Haven is a unique outdoor museum where visitors can observe and learn about bees and the plants that support them.

The UC Davis Stores, located at the Memorial Union and Welcome Center, sells Aggie shirts, sweatshirts, hats, gnomes, UC Davis olive oil and much more.

 

Off-campus restaurants, shopping and hospitality

Within blocks of campus, you’ll find restaurants, coffeehouses, specialty shops, art galleries and theaters in downtown Davis. Extend your stay at one of Davis’ comfortable lodging options.

Downtown Davis has a welcoming selection of restaurants, shops and movie theaters, and it is right next to campus.

Open year-round, rain or shine, the Davis Farmers Market is an Aggie tradition and must-do for anyone spending time in Davis. Every Saturday morning and Wednesday afternoon, you can buy fresh produce, relax in the park and enjoy one of the most popular weekly events in town.
